Poetry writing Workshop

Time: 2:00pm - 3:30pm

Whether you’re a poet, a creative writer, story-teller or want to become a poet, come participate in our local Poetry Workshop at the Calistoga Art Center for a poetry workshop. Sit, write, share, and workshop.

Learn how to write a poem in your own words or from inspiration using the basic elements of creative writing. Students will pick or be given a topic and be given a few minutes to respond to the chosen topic.

Students will also gain experience through sharing their work with each other and sharing out loud for feedback. This workshop will explore and cover great poet’s works as the instructor will be reading and discussing great writing techniques. There will be a variety of materials including pens, pencils, paper, and provided poetry examples.  This is a free event. Registering is helpful so that we can accommodate accordingly.
