Beautiful Mess - Create Painted Paper

Painted Paper - 2 parts

1st: Messes allowed! Practically dive into playing with paint. Part finger painting, part color theory, all in on fully exploring mark making and texture using paint and tools. All participants contribute making painted paper for the ‘bank’. Once the papers are dry, these papers can be used for a multitude of creative projects; collages, journal covers, decorating frames, gift tags or cards….each unique and one of a kind.

2nd: Play allowed! Using the bounty of these unique art papers, you have the option of creating a landscape or bouquet of flowers collage and/or collage a cover for a small blank journal that is yours to keep.

This workshop is meant to be fun, freeing and inspiring. Join!

Friday May 24th 6:30-8:00pm & Saturday May 25th 11-1pm

Saturday June 15th 2pm-5:30pm (with 1/2 hr break to allow paper to dry)

NICHOS / MINI SHADOW BOXES

Nichos

Create your own nicho inspired by this Central and South American folk tradition of using household materials to create 3-D portable mini alters. Consider it a sacred space to hold and honor a thought, a dream, a memory.

All basic supplies are included. We are welcome and encourage bringing personal photos, images, mementos or charms.
